This Aldi Wine Just Got Voted One Of The Best In The World
Those in the know have long hailed Aldi as a secret source of dirt-cheap, but delicious, wine – and now it’s become official.
Aldi’s $8 Côtes de Provence Rosé has won a silver medal at the prestigious International Wine Challenge, up against wines three times its price. According to The Sun, it was recognised for its flavours of “strawberry, white fruit and subtle spice.”
“We have been working closely with renowned winemaker Jean Claude Mas to change percepions around French wine, which is often perceived as expensive and intimidating,” says Aldi’s Joint Managing Director of Corporate Buying, Tony Baines. “It is fantastic to see some of these products acknowledged as some of the best in the world.”
Unfortunately, the Côtes de Provence Rosé isn’t available in Australian Aldi stores yet, so we've rounded up some of the most highly awarded wines you CAN buy here:
Tudor Central Victorian Shiraz, $12.99
South Point Estate Rosé, $4.99
