‘Hello, it’s Nancy’. That’s what Adele will be singing in her first movie role, an adaption of the musical Oliver.
The 29-year-old, who announced her retirement from touring in June, is ready to take on Hollywood. She will reportedly play Nancy in remake for the 1968 classic reports, The Sun.
“I only ever did this tour for you and to hopefully have an impact on you the way that some of my favourite artists have had on me live," Adele said to fans after her world tour.
A source close to the Water Under the Bridge singer revealed, “it would be a major part for her and she’s seriously considering it," to the U.K. publication.
“She’s talked about Angelo being her number one priority and she sees this as a role that he could appreciate too. It would be a new challenge for her but one she would definitely be up for.”
Adele and her husband Simon Konecki wed in 2016, they have a four-year-old son, Angelo.
