Heath Ledger is about to become the subject of a new Spike TV documentary, entitled I Am: Heath Ledger.
It’s been just over nine years since Heath Ledger’s tragic passing from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs, but love for the Australian star still reigns supreme in Hollywood.
Set to air in May 2017, the new documentary is an inside look at the lives of people who knew him best.
The Australian-born star was best known for his roles in 1999's 10 Things I Hate About You, 2000's The Patriot, and 2008's The Dark Knight, for which he won a posthumous Oscar. He was with fellow actor Michelle Williams from 2004 to 2007, and they shared a daughter, Matilda, now 11, who was just two-years-old when he died.
The documentary is the latest episode of the Spike-TV original documentary series I Am, which has previously dedicated covered the likes of JFK Jr., Chris Farley and Steve McQueen.
