Since news broke that Meghan Markle was dating Prince Harry in 2016, the 38-year-old has faced intense scrutiny at every turn. From rumours that she's demanding to backlash over her flying private (for her and her baby's safety, might we add), it seems the Duchess of Sussex just can't catch a break.
Despite numerous celebrities rallying behind Meghan a few weeks ago, labelling the press and public's negative scrutiny as bullying, this week 60 Minutes Australia plans to air a special which promises to uncover the "scandals," "abuse," and "lies" that supposedly surround the Duchess of Sussex. According to 60 Minutes' tweet, which heroed the teaser clip, the segment will be all about "how Meghan Markle lost her sparkle," how she went from "adored to insufferable" and how people are advocating for a "#Megxit" - speaking of Brexit, isn't that perhaps a more important topic to cover? No?
Oh, and if you thought that was bad, they also bring Princess Diana's ghost into it: "Can the ghost of Princess Diana save a fairytale?"
The segment hasn't even aired yet, but the above preview was more than enough for people to rally behind Meghan, including the likes of Mia Farrow and Jameela Jamil, the latter of which wrote in part, "THANK YOU FOR EXPOSING THE FACT THAT THIS WOMAN IS ALWAYS GLOWING. She must be stopped. What Andrew did to those teenage girls was bad... but even he never dared to GLOW."
Below, all of the reactions so far.
