Here are the best celebrity beauty looks from the 2020 Grammy Awards red carpet.
Billie Eilish made Grammy Awards history when she scooped up four of the most major prizes on offer and her epic beauty look for the event was rather unforgettable, too.
“Two-toned hair colour is in! Although Billie has been seen with this colour before, it was fresh and redone ahead of the night to ensure it was electric. Billie took neon green roots and her contrasting black to a whole new level of glam with her green printed nail art to match,” says celebrity hairstylist and Wella Global Creative Artist, Renya Xydis.
Alicia Keys made headlines a few years ago when she decided to give up makeup and she continues to wow us with her natural beauty. For the Grammys, she rocked her signature foundation-free skin with an elaborate braided hairstyle featuring tiny curls arranged on her forehead and delicate silver face jewels.
Queen of pop Ariana Grande served princess Barbie vibes with this playful beauty look featuring heavy winged eyeliner and hyper-glossy nude lips.
Describing Ariana’s hair, Renya says: “The high ponytail is slightly different to her usual with a small area at the front of the face sweeping across to give a softer vibe to the overall look. The ponytail ends are also curled outwards to give additional depth and body.
With chunky blonde highlights, face-framing 'tendrils,' matte nude lips and shimmery blue eyeshadow, Dua Lipa threw it right back to the ‘90s with this nostalgic beauty look. We’re particularly loving how she’s taken her eyeshadow from the lash-line right up to her brows in true ‘90s style.
Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalía emulated classic red carpet glamour with brushed-out waves, berry-toned lips and a flick of fierce feline-shaped eyeliner. And, a special shout-out is due to her exaggerated spangly stiletto nails which sparkled like disco balls under the camera’s flash.
Leave it to FKA Twigs to create a lasting impression on the red carpet. The English performer looked completely regal in an artfully contoured eye look with red curls peeping from beneath her black satin hood.
American model Chrissy Teigen was a tangerine dream in a wash of orange eyeshadow matched to her dress. She drew extra attention to her eyes with highlighter dabbed at the inner corners and fluttery black lashes.
And, according to Renya, Chrissy’s hair previews one of this year’s biggest trends: “A lob that was kept low-key in a loose wave as if she'd woken up with a middle part shows off her facial features and the loose curls help to not take away from her dress. This effortless look is a definite trend we will see throughout 2020.”
Superstar singer Lizzo wowed with a shimmery silver smoky eye and glamorous curls. But, the part we like most? Her dripping crystal and pearl manicure which has us reminiscing on Kim Kardashian’s similar look at last year’s Met Gala. So extra!
In a move that proved yet again he’s a force to be reckoned with on the red carpet, Billy Porter’s mechanical-fringed hat parted to reveal an exaggerated ‘60s pastel blue eyeshadow look topped off with face crystals and metallic silver lipstick. Iconic.
American beauty influencer Nikita Dragun took the opportunity to show off her makeup prowess with this ethereal beauty look. Wearing long honey-blonde waves, a white cat-eye look and loads of pearl-shaped face jewels, Nikita looked like an actual mermaid.
Pop icon Gwen Stefani stunned with flawless, glowing skin, glossy pink lips and a simple hairstyle.
“A sleek centre part tucked behind the ears is a classy look. It allowed Gwen to show off her cheekbones and earrings, showcasing a feminine look as opposed to her previous rebellious style. This look is easy to achieve and one I urge people to try especially those blessed with dead straight hair that doesn't curl or frizz easily,” says Renya.
