Each year the Metropolitan Museum Of Art celebrates the opening of the new costume exhibit on the first Monday in May.
The illustrious Met Gala has been one of the most important events in the fashion calendar since it's conception in 1971, and in 2018 they look set to have their most show-stopping year yet.
Vogue announced the 2018 agenda earlier today, revealing next year the Met Gala will celebrate religion with the theme: "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination."
From Dior, to Dolce & Gabbana, to Jean Paul Gaultier, the intricate relationship between religion and fashion is well documented in haute couture history. The red carpet is sure to be one of the most-talked about ever, as designer's showcase their take on the spiritual theme.
Perhaps even more exciting than the theme, however, is Anna Wintour’s choice of 2018 co-hosts. Rihanna, Amal Clooney and Donatella Versace have all signed on for hosting roles for the event.

Three iconic fashion powerhouses with uniquely different styles? We can't wait to see this red carpet unfold.
The exhibition itself also promises to be jaw-dropping. With over 150 pieces set to be on display from the 10th of May to the 8th of October in three different Met locations in New York, including the enchanting smaller museum 'The Cloisters' in northern Manhattan.
We'll be counting down the days with glee!
