Meet The Girl Behind Gary Pepper Vintage Our first interview with fashion blogger Nicole Warne. With gorgeous style and grand ambition, it's no wonder less than two years after launching her online store and fashion blog, Gary Pepper Vintage, 22-year-old, Nicole Warne is making waves in the Australian fashion arena and is set to become an Australian style entrepreneur. Not familiar with the beauty behind the brand? You can currently spot Nicole in the window of General Pants Co. stores nationally, starring in the street-style store's Colour Your World campaign. Shop at her online vintage clothing boutique for chic yesteryear fashions or keep up with her daily fashion musings via her up-close-and-personal blog, where she shares her in-the-know knowledge as a photographer, model and stylist. InStyle caught up with the blog maestro to talk about her personal style and how to make vintage fashion work for you. How would you describe your personal style? It is pretty, preppy and elegant. I like to mix my vintage wardrobe with designer pieces to create an interesting and unique aesthetic. I love playing with different lengths, colours and textures but I don't like to overcomplicate things. My style mantra? Less is always more. What items are you coveting this season? I've always been drawn to bright colours. Right now, I love pieces like Jil Sander's Floral Print Envelope clutch and Charlotte Olympia's Bananas is my Business fruity platforms. What one item of clothing you cannot live without? Technically it's not clothing, but I can't live without my shoe collection. My Miu Miu's come with me everywhere I go. Which celeb's style do you most admire? Olivia Palermo is a new favourite. She always styles her outfits and accessories perfectly, while still managing to look impossibly polished. Vintage can be tricky to style and wear. What advice would you give women who want to explore vintage style? I like to style my outfits around my vintage pieces first, adding modern pieces or accessories to create a polished finish. Vintage doesn't always have to be outrageous, bright or printed. Often the most beautiful vintage pieces don't look like they are vintage at all! That's the secret!
