Welcome to the launch of the fourth annual InStyle and Audi Women of Style Awards, also supported by Longines and Waterford Crystal. In the years since these awards were founded, InStyle has honoured more than 80 successful, inspirational women who are making a difference across many fields. We are very excited to be adding more women to those esteemed ranks this year.
How do we characterise a Woman of Style? We consider her to be an innovator, a pioneer, someone who has achieved great things while giving back to the community around her. A Woman of Style shows grace and intelligence in all that she does.
Over the coming months, we will be announcing the 2012 nominees and judges, as well as the winners. We will also be inviting you to cast your vote for the Readers' Choice award - you'll be able to do this from March 12. You'll also be given the opportunity to win tickets for you and a friend to attend the awards, and meet some of this year's nominees.
Now, we start the competition for the 2012 InStyle and Audi Style Scholarship - this is a grant of $10,000 that you can use to fund your career interests in beauty, lifestyle, fashion, community work, entertainment
or the arts.
