The 2013 InStyle and Audi Women of Style Awards was a decidedly cool affair – in more ways than one. The event, now in its fifth year, drew an elegant crowd to Carriageworks in Sydney last night.
A fleet of Audis delivered guests to the snow-white carpet, which led to a pre-Awards cocktail party. Host Jessica Rowe kicked off official proceedings, where winners see the full list here – including actress Rachel Griffiths (Entertainment) and Sex Discrimination Commissioner Elizabeth Broderick (Charity & Community) – were presented with bespoke Waterford Crystal trophies.
TV presenter Carrie Bickmore picked up the Readers' Choice Award, while Nicole Kidman was named the inaugural Hall of Fame winner. But no-one went home empty handed – guests queued to received the famous Women of Style goodie bag and one lucky guest went home with a chic new Longines watch.
Ensuring the party continued well into the night, The Voice alumni Emma Birdsall dazzled the crowd with "Never in a Million Years", a new song from her forthcoming debut album, plus a chilled-out rendition of Michael Jackson's "Rock With You".
