The latest arm-candy to hit our shores comes courtesy of British It-label Mulberry. Credit cards at the ready for the "Alexa" in animal print.
As a fashion editor, I, along with the other girls in the fashion department, spend hours visiting showrooms, press offices and top boutiques to select some of the best pieces to pack in our ever-expanding fashion cupboard at InStyle HQ. We get a chance to preview the best, one season ahead, and have the privilege to shoot these incredible pieces for our pages every month.
On a recent appointment to a Sydney showroom, we had a sneak peek of the latest international It-label about to hit our shores. Mulberry is coming to town...Sydney town, that is. The Brit label is setting up shop in the new prestigious Westfield in Pitt St Mall, Sydney. Come November we will all be introduced to the likes of "Lily", "Neely", "Lizzie", "Margaret", and of course "Alexa", who will soon all become the latest must-have arm candies, named after It-girls.
I was lucky enough to see the bags from autumn/winter 10, propped out with sparkly life-sized panthers that were a highlight at the label's autumn/winter launch at the Chateau Marmont in LA. The panthers will also be a focal point at the sleek Sydney store.
So what will you get in line for? I am loving the Neely, and I want it in Nude! But if it's the Alexa that you are after, expect a bit of a wait. Mulberry has a waitlist for this coveted piece...but don't worry, it will be well worth the wait.
