| Celebrities embrace the dark side |

It looks like black is the new black on the red carpet.
After a rainbow-bright Golden Globes last weekend, celebrities eschewed all colour at the 23rd Annual Producers Guild Awards, favouring the inky shade instead. Angelina Jolie, Evan Rachel Wood and Jessica Chastain all donned head-to-toe black for the awards ceremony, held at the Beverly Hilton in Hollywood on Saturday evening. Jolie showed off her enviable pins in a lace-embellished Michael Kors gown, Wood rocked the androgynous trend in a pants-suit, and Chastain wowed in a floor-length Balenciaga number – all in the ever-chic dark staple.
There's no rest for Hollywood's A-list in the lead up to the Oscars on February 26: the awards and festival season is now in full swing, and there are copious red-carpet opportunities for stars to show off their best ensembles. Next up, Sundance Film Festival and the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Will black continue to dominate? Watch this space.
