Mad Men has just won Outstanding Drama at this year's Emmy Awards, for the third time in a row, no less! Like many members of the InStyle team, I've been a fan of the series since its very first episode. My love of Mad Men is as much about the fabulously feminine early '60s styles sported by Betty Draper (January Jones) and Joan Harris (Christina Hendricks) as it is about the brilliant writing and intriguing adventures of Don Draper (Jon Hamm) and his ad agency cohorts. Seeing Joan flaunt her killer curves in a figure-hugging dress or watching Betty channel Grace Kelly sophistication in a waist-cinching, full-skirted number is enough to make you want to trawl through vintage stores in order to channel the look. However, if vintage dresses aren't your thing, and your budget allows for a few new-season designer splurges, Prada is the place to head. Miuccia Prada's interpretation of late '50s/early '60s chic is part "cool Hitchcock heroine", part "Brigitte Bardot bombshell". All you'll need to complete the Mad Men fantasy is a martini!
